MUSE Leadership Council Meeting in Sidney (BC)

2 May 2018 — 5:00 pm - 7:00 pm

Beacon Landing, 2537 Beacon Avenue, Sidney, BC

Our MUSE Leadership Council is anticipating their upcoming meeting with Chief Medical Health Officers from across the country.

On May 2, 2018 MUSE principal investigators, Lise Gauvin, Marie-France Raynault and Nazeem Muhajarine met with the CMOH partners in Sidney (BC) to update them on the status of ongoing MUSE projects.

The objectives of this meeting were to:

  • Inform CMOHs about the status of ongoing MUSE projects.
  • Discuss opportunities and challenges of current projects.
  • How identified common needs and goals for each city can be used to guide MUSE knowledge exchange strategies.
  •
The MUSE team aimed to identify specific and common needs in Canadian cities, and determine how to address these needs in order to create healthier and equitable lifestyles for citizens.

By engaging our health leaders, the MUSE team was looking forward to learning how to further contribute knowledge that can be used to support public health departments and multisectoral partnerships across the country.
