MUSE Ideas Incubator Session in Montréal

8 November 2017 — 8:30 am - 4:00 pm

Amphithéâtre, Direction régionale de santé publique de Montréal, 1301 Sherbrooke Street East, Montréal QC

Researchers, knowledge users, and collaborators had the opportunity to participate in a MUSE Ideas Incubator Session during the first MUSE Meet-up in Montreal on November 8, 2017.

The purpose of this session was to identify:

  • Research directions, discuss opportunities, and challenges encountered in ongoing MUSE projects.
  • How Public Health Departments and/or their partners could work to support these projects.
  • Common and specific needs in each city for MUSE projects to address.
  • What to disseminate, to whom, how, and when, so MUSE can support Public Health Departments in their multisectoral work.
  •
The first MUSE members meeting in Montréal on November 8, 2017 hold one of those session, following the presentation of one multisectoral partnership, Montréal Métropole en Santé.

Specific questions were addressed, for instance to identify similar initiatives in the four cities of interest (Montréal, Toronto, Saskatoon, Vancouver) and how similar or different they were in terms of partnership structure? Discussions were also solicited around factors that may facilitate or hinder such initiatives, and how to integrate questions of equity in such initiatives.
